Love Isn’t Supposed to Hurt—But Healing Requires a Framework
Do you feel like you keep getting hurt in love, even when your intentions are good?
Do you get stuck in the same fights, the same cycles, with no idea how to stop them?
Do you feel unseen, unchosen, or like you’re always giving more than you receive?
Do you long for a relationship that feels safe, aligned, and alive—but wonder if that even exists?
You’re not alone.
And you’re not broken.
But without a clear framework, relationships often become the place where our deepest wounds get repeated—not repaired.

Relationships Are Where Our Trauma Shows Up—But They Can Also Be Where It Heals
Most of us weren’t taught how to navigate conflict, how to feel safe in closeness, or how to stay connected when old pain gets stirred.
So we default to what we know—what’s familiar. We recreate early dynamics, not because we want to, but because our nervous systems are wired that way.
Every relationship becomes one of two things:
A reenactment of the past, or a space for healing it.
Conflict isn’t the problem—it’s the portal.
But without safety, clarity, and shared intention, it can’t lead anywhere but back to pain.
Healing inside a relationship is possible.
But only when both people are present, honest, and willing to do the work.
What Couples Therapy Can Look Like
Whether you’re in a relationship or navigating the aftermath of one, this work is about healing the patterns that keep you stuck—and creating something more grounded, more nourishing, and more aligned.
Together, we’ll explore:
Why conflict keeps happening and what it’s actually revealing
How to define or redefine your relationship in a way that creates emotional safety
How to stop reenacting trauma and start co-creating healing
The strengths of your unique relational energy—whether you’re more grounded or more emotional, action-oriented or nurturing—and how those differences can become complementary instead of conflicting
How to restore polarity, rebuild trust, and move forward with clarity, connection, and care
Whether you’re doing this work solo or as a couple, we’ll build a container strong enough to hold what’s real—and soft enough to support transformation.
My Approach To Couples Therapy
I believe relationships require a framework.
Without it, you’re just surviving conflict, not growing through it.
The framework I guide clients through includes:
Clarity: What are we building together? Are we moving toward the same thing?
Polarity: Understanding how different energies (like strength and softness, presence and receptivity) complement and balance each other
Safety: Knowing how to navigate hard moments without shutting down or blowing up
Co-regulation: Learning how to stay connected even when it’s messy
Play, dreaming, and vision: Because a relationship isn’t just about surviving—it’s about creating something meaningful together
This work is based in Interpersonal Neurobiology, and everything I do is grounded in nervous system safety and real, embodied connection.
You Might Be Wondering About Couples Therapy…
-
Yes. When one person shifts, the dynamic shifts. Healing starts with you.
-
Maybe. Maybe not. But if both of you are willing to be honest, there’s always a path forward. Even if that path is clearer closure.
-
It is. But it’s not passive. It takes intention, accountability, and practice. And it’s absolutely worth it.
